serious self discipline

Perhaps it’s not the greatest act of self deprivation ever, but I am restraining myself from buying Donald Miller’s new book right now. As much as I want to order it, I’m going to discipline myself to read the 20 or so books I already own that are waiting to be read…

Or at least to read one or two of them.

    Common John, stay strong. I know it’s hard, but you can do it. Besides, I want there to be at least one book I read before you.
