John, about learning from people of other Christian "traditions," you made that point to me over morning coffee a few weeks ago. Since then, I have really been trying to open my eyes to these new learning experiences. It's odd--many "postmodern" people want others to look at and consider their viewpoint, but they won't often do that with others (this could be said for Christians as a whole, too). It has been a valuable and enriching experience looking at things from these perspectives, though; a practice everyone could benefit from.

Hi John, just thought I would direct to the post by Adam Cleave on a lecture given by Al Roxburgh...really ties into your thoughts I think...and really something we all need to hear.
http://cleave.blogs.com/pomomusings/2004/05/ec04_god_is_alw.html

I'm still praying for you and Sherri...this really is an Advent for you guys. The waiting, sort of in transition, the excitement on the Horizon of the gift of a whole new journey. What ever it may turn out to be...he is faithful and trustworthy.
