save darfur

Date March 16, 2005

For those of you who live in the United States, SaveDarfur.org has set up a page that will allow you to automatically send an email to the president and your congressional representatives regarding your concern for the situation in Sudan. All you have to do is fill in your information. It’s quick and easy, and very worthwhile. Perhaps it will be the best two minutes you spend today.

I read about this horrible situation in Time magazine a few months ago while waiting for a doctor exam.

Not surprisingly, nothing has been done about it.

One of the interesting things about the article was the sidebar that talked about the reluctance of politicians, both U.S. and abroad, to call something like this a “genocide”, because when it gets called that, action must be taken.

George W. called this situation a genocide several months ago and yet there still is reluctance in the U.N. to get involved.
