an afternoon in austin

Our family drove up to Austin this afternoon to hang out with the Marlow family. It felt just like we were back in Seattle with them again…especially since it was overcast and rainy all day.
(Before we met the Marlows we were able to get some ice skating in at an outdoor rink at Whole Foods. The great Bellevue power outage is now erased from Macey’s mind.)
It was good to talk with them. One of the things I appreciate Chris and Necole is their heart for the local church. I am aware that in their previous plant they had some difference of opinion with the denominational leaders. Rather than be bitter about it, Chris and Necole have allowed that experience to fuel their ideal dreams of a better church.
Chris and Necole, thanks for choosing better over bitter.
